LaTonya Augustine brings more than two decades of experience spanning clinical care, healthcare quality, Medicare Advantage, HEDIS, Star Ratings, provider engagement, and healthcare operations.

Her perspective was shaped through years of direct clinical care, beginning at the bedside, where she witnessed firsthand how untreated chronic conditions, delayed preventive care, and gaps in follow-up could lead to avoidable complications and poor outcomes. Those experiences continue to guide her work today, helping organizations move beyond reacting to poor outcomes by building the systems, partnerships, and accountability needed to prevent them.

As her career progressed into healthcare quality leadership, LaTonya gained a broader understanding of the complex relationship between care delivery, documentation, data, and regulatory performance.

She understands the demands providers face while caring for patients and navigating documentation requirements, as well as the responsibility health plans have to accurately measure, report, and demonstrate the quality of care delivered.

This perspective allows her to bridge the gap between clinical realities and organizational accountability. She helps health plans, provider organizations, and clinical teams align strategy, operations, documentation, and care delivery so that quality improvement supports both stronger performance and better patient outcomes.

LaTonya founded WeCare Practice Advisors to help healthcare organizations identify the disconnects that limit performance and create practical, sustainable solutions that work within the realities of their organization.
